🎃 Fall Festivities 🌽

Image
It's finally to starting to feel like fall here in New Jersey, so my friends and I decided to go out to the corn maze at Stony Hill Farms in Chester, NJ. 🌽 Several of them went the year before and took about 2 hours to escape the maze! I wasn't sure how long it was going to take us, but we definitely had fun along the way! We first started out taking only right turns thru the maze and it seemed to get us pretty far...pretty far until we ended up at the entrance to the maze again! I wouldn't say we gave up, but we gave in and really used the map to get us out of there! Our entry price also included a hay ride, so my friend and I took a ride down to the pumpkin patch in search for the perfect pumpkins! 🎃 Flannel: Similar | Jeans: Old Navy | Boots: Timberland ( Similar ) | Hat: Similar We've had quite a warm fall so it's been nice finally getting to do some seasonal activities.  It was even humid while we were out last weekend, b...

Cut it Out

Image
Was feelin' cute when I got home from work the other day and decided to take a few pictures. Outfit: Dress: H&M- OnSale! ; Tights: Target- Similar ; Boots: Marshalls- Similar Work has been pretty crazy lately so the fact that I was even up to taking my own pictures was a miracle! Right now at work, I'm working on Cruise 2017 swim.  It seems very far away, but we need to have everything done and photographed by the end of August! It's weird how fashion works sometimes. Since we've been so busy we haven't had a chance to do our bi-weekly trip to NYC for print shopping. My design team and I are now responsible for all swimwear brands at FullBeauty Brands (Woman Within, Roamans, Jessica London) and our own lines at Swimsuitsforall (Aquabelle, Beachbelle, Shore Club, Tropiculture, Swim Sexy) It's a lot of businesses to design for!  Each business is one of a kind and there are a lot of specific types of women we design for. What I'm Thankful For

Image
I have a lot to be thankful for this year; From my job to my friends and my family each deserves their own praise. From November 2014 to November 2015 I went through a lot and came out a stronger and better person for it.  My biggest struggles were finding a job and keeping a roof over my head.  I don't say that in a I was totally broke and couldn't afford a place to live but I was bouncing around from place to place hoping that something better would work out for me. The option of my car almost became reality a few times. Since moving out in May 2014, I've lived in 6 different apartments. 6! For a little over a year that's a lot of moving around for anyone. While all of this was terrifying and stressful I somehow saw it through and ended up landing my 1st job, finding a place to call home--temporarily and really settling into something for the first time in months. I'm no longer fretting about where I'm going to work or if I'm going to have enough money...

Hers: Velvet Burnout dress from Free People similar His: Button up hedgehog collared shirt, velvet detail vest, black slacks, red violet suit coat and patent leather oxfords. The day was sweet and warm so we took some time to sit outside, enjoy the weather and take a few photos to share with you! Dark Vibes

Image
Hi Everyone! I'm back!....I think. Since I went on hiatus, I've moved twice, got a new(er) position at Destination Maternity and still have been interviewing my butt off hoping that a new job will soon come along. I was really feeling my outfit the other week, so I had my roommate snap a couple of photos when I got home from work.  It's really a shame that it gets dark so early these days.  Don't get me wrong, I love  fall but I don't love how short the days become. The scarf was a gift from an old roommate.  Her boyfriend's mother had given it to her but she didn't want it.  I'm not exactly sure why  but you can never have enough scarves if you ask me! I've always enjoyed black on black on black looks.  The only problem I ever have is my blacks will never match, ever! #gothgirlproblems I got the shoes over the summer from Forever 21. They were the last of their kind!  A lot of women that I work with are a...

The other weekend "The Thrifty Gentleman" (aka Floyd Walker Jr) and I collaborated in doing a shoot for his instagram account which is actually called ThriftyGentleman . Walker's IG features outfits from which he has collected from thrift stores. His main go to seems to be Goodwill but also shops at other thrifty places as well. His style is sleek, classy, tailored and timeless, his identity goes unknown to the internet world. Here's a look at what we wore Floyd is in his 3-piece corduroy suit while I match in my corduroy dress from Maeve . His is thrifted, mine is gifted/hand me down. We just lucky for us that we had a bottle of wine to celebrate! His: A nice 3-piece suit. Navy jacket with notched lapel. The shirt he has on has printed lighthouses on them. To match, he wears a grey vest and faded olive pants.  And just check those caramel oxfords! (All thrifted!) Hers: I'm wearing a vintage wool dress from Sears courtes...

Spring Sprung

Image
SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!!! I was home in New Hampshire over the weekend and while I was there I brought back ALL of my spring and summer clothes! It really surprised me when I saw how many dresses I actually have! Since today was in the 70s I went ahead and wore my polka-dot dress! I got this dress a few years ago now with the intension for it to be my "Valentine's day outfit" I remember wearing it on Valentines day but I also remembering it being really cold and having to wear tights with this. It's finally warm enough now that I don't need those darn tights! Felt good to have bare legs and flats.  While my legs are still pale from the long winter, they will have their olive glow soon enough Looking forward to having more days like these! -Kristina Dress: Forever21 (similar 1 2 )
