When Doves Cry- #RIPprince

Image
I was very sad to hear that Prince died earlier this week at only 57.  Like Bowie, I've always found Prince to be a rock legend and certainly a fashion icon. Although he was only 5'2'', great things come in small packages! Prince was someone who challenged gender roles and didn't conform to any of them really.  He lead a revolution in the steps of Bowie of questioning gender roles and being a beacon of hope for others with similar struggles. His music changed the face of rock and brought on new ideas sounds and a whole lot of funk.  Being as young as he was at his untimely death, I can only imagine what he could have done with more time.  Myself and many others around the world are saddened by his death but he has left a mark on the world of music and fashion, hopefully inspiring generations to come.

Stillness Sundays: Iceland homes

I took a chance this week and booked my trip to Iceland!  I've been wanting to go to this beautiful country since I was about 16 and here I am almost 10 years later making it happen!  I've already started a pinterest board to inspire me where I should go and do.  If I have any readers who are from Iceland or have been before, please feel free to leave some suggestions! So even though my trip isn't until the beginning of October, I've already been thinking about everything.  I'm thinking about going dog sledding, visiting the Volcano, hot springs and maybe a waterfall or two!  Can't wait for the time to come.  Until then stay strong and style on, friends. -Kristina

In his life, Bowie produced 26 albums, did 14 world tours and appeared in 21 films and television shows. He accomplished so much during his time and his death was a huge loss in the world of rock and roll.  While all of these accomplishments are great, there have been some iconic outfits that have been worn by Bowie in the past years that made some of these moments famous and never forgotten. Life on Mars Some of Bowie's most famous suits were designed by Freddie Burretti , including the suit he wore in the music video "Life on Mars."  Not only did he design the blue suit, but a lot of oth...
