Longwood Gardens 2020

Image
A few years ago I made my first trip to Longwood Gardens with my friend Max. We went Labor Day weekend which marked the end of summer. I wrote a post about it here and had not been back again until recently. The Gardens are set on over 1,000 acres of land and there are waterfalls, botanical gardens, fountains, tree walks, meadows and open fields. This trip I went with my boyfriend, Nick.  Although the weather was a little colder and not as many plants or flowers in bloom outside we still had a really nice time exploring the grounds together We took the time to walk the grounds a little which was really nice. The temperatures were in the 40's which is a little chilly but it was so quiet and peaceful to be out there on our own. We took a walk up to the Lookout Loft, Canopy Cathedral and the Birdhouse. Posing with the Dragon carvings! After freezing our butts off outside we headed over to the conservatory to go check out the Orchid Extravaganza and...

Spring 2016: Valentino

Image
Hi All! I know that it's been months  since my last real update but things are still in limbo around here.  Recently I started writing for a site called Gruemonkey and have taken on the role as lead Rock & Roll writer.  While this is very exciting and I have a new outlet, I feel bad for neglecting Chrysanthemum.  I'm hoping to take some photos this weekend in some outfits and get the ball rolling around here. For the time being as most of you know, it's fashion week! Shows are still pouring out and I'm loving what designers have brought to the table this season.  I just got through Valentino's show and in addition to being in love  with the looks and theme of the collection, I am drooling over the accessories and bags.  Here are some close up shots of my favourites; You can view the rest of the collection here on the new style.com

Spring Sprung

SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!!! I was home in New Hampshire over the weekend and while I was there I brought back ALL of my spring and summer clothes! It really surprised me when I saw how many dresses I actually have! Since today was in the 70s I went ahead and wore my polka-dot dress! I got this dress a few years ago now with the intension for it to be my "Valentine's day outfit" I remember wearing it on Valentines day but I also remembering it being really cold and having to wear tights with this. It's finally warm enough now that I don't need those darn tights! Felt good to have bare legs and flats.  While my legs are still pale from the long winter, they will have their olive glow soon enough Looking forward to having more days like these! -Kristina Dress: Forever21 (similar 1 2 )
