Artist Thursdays: Stephanie Pepper

Image
I've been admiring Stephanie Pepper's illustrations for a few years now and wanted to focus this Thursday on her. Not too much is known on her personal status but she is still currently a student at SVA and creates some pretty radical art. I'm not really sure what attracted me to her art originally but I like the subject matter and the way she can exaggerate and make it feel like you know her characters just by seeing one or two pieces that have them in it. I admire her skill and imagination and I hope you can appreciate it as well You can find more of her works here , here and here

Easter Sunday Outfit

Since the weather was so great for Easter this year, I had a hard time deciding what I was going to wear when I got up that morning.  This Easter is also special because it's the first time since 2010 that I've been home for the holiday.  The past two years I've gone to NY to spend Greek Easter with my other Greek friend. I almost wore a dress but felt that I would be more comfortable in a look like this: My Timberland Danforth cork wedges were absolutely perfect  for the day.  Since they have a lower wedge heel height, I found them very comfortable to wear all day. I even went out for a walk with my family in them! No blisters!  Happy to say my feet were comfy all day. I buy a lot of my jeans from Old Navy because they have a great style that really fits my figure and is very flattering.  The style I have on is the Sweetheart Skinny .  I also find that the jeans at Old Navy are priced much better than the ones from American Eagle.  I have issu

As you already know, I was in Philadelphia last weekend for an internship interview and to see a few good friends along the way. I left my house in New Hampshire around 7am to try and be a little ahead of traffic.  It helped but not by much!  Massachusetts had most of the traffic but I got caught in a jam for about 30 minutes or so when I was going through Connecticut.  It's like the road work never ends!  After about 4ish hours in the car I made my pit stop in Nyack, New York and met up with this lovely lady: That was us back in 2010 in the same area and you can count on it that we went back to both those places while I was in town.  I did take a picture of us while I was there but it turned out to be a little too derpy. I'm saving us both from the embarrassment! We got pizza, took a walk down to the water, had girl talk and checked out a few different shops while we had some time.  The time passed too quickly and it bummed me out that I had to leave so soon.

Happy to report that my trip to The City of Brotherly love was quite the success!  The drive wasn't as bad as I had anticipated and it was great to spend some time with my close friends. Friday I had my interview and I think that it went well.  Now I'm just playing the waiting game and should hear back in the next week or two. I've got my fingers crossed! The weather was absolutely gorgeous  this weekend and I was able to prance about the city with my dresses and skirts with no  tights!   This was the outfit I chose to wear to my interview: I wanted to wear something that was colourful and spring like but also kept the "business" side in mind to look professional.  The dress is Fire by Los Angeles and I bought it from Marshalls sometime last summer.  It's super lightweight, breathable and the best part, ladies: IT HAS POCKETS! Since the dress has a racerback quality I kept the cardigan on during the interview but as soon as I go

An Update

I'm sorry for the severe lack of posts lately, things have just been really busy!! I've got an outfit or two post on the way and I'll also be documenting my first little road trip that I am embarking on tomorrow morning! I'm making the drive from New Hampshire to Philadelphia and this will be the first time I will be driving there.  Last summer my dad flew down and rented a moving van to drive us back to New Hampshire but I've never taken the drive down before, I usually fly.  But this trip was decided a week ago and it was too expensive to fly at such short notice.  I would take the bus but it takes forever and I just want to be in control of my trip. I'm planning on making a short stop for lunch in New York with my best friend, Anastasia.  She's practically my sister and I haven't seen her since her birthday in June so we are long overdue for some hang time. Purpose of the trip is job related so I have my fingers crossed that eve
