Easter Sunday Outfit

Since the weather was so great for Easter this year, I had a hard time deciding what I was going to wear when I got up that morning.  This Easter is also special because it's the first time since 2010 that I've been home for the holiday.  The past two years I've gone to NY to spend Greek Easter with my other Greek friend.

I almost wore a dress but felt that I would be more comfortable in a look like this:





My Timberland Danforth cork wedges were absolutely perfect for the day.  Since they have a lower wedge heel height, I found them very comfortable to wear all day. I even went out for a walk with my family in them! No blisters!  Happy to say my feet were comfy all day.

I buy a lot of my jeans from Old Navy because they have a great style that really fits my figure and is very flattering.  The style I have on is the Sweetheart Skinny.  I also find that the jeans at Old Navy are priced much better than the ones from American Eagle.  I have issues with AE jeans so I'm thankful for Old Navy's styles!

The lacey top is thrifted and is a great piece to own because I feel like I can dress it up or down.  Overall I thought this outfit fit the Easter atmosphere and to be comfortable with the Spring weather around the corner.

Polka Dot Queen

As you might of seen in the last post, I really enjoy getting dressed up for special occasions!  This time is was no different.  Usually I end up going out and buying something new to wear to a wedding but in this case I already had a dress in my closet.  A few months ago a girl I worked with at Timberland came by my desk with a dress that she said was a gift from someone but it didn't find her exactly.  She's a little bit shorter than I am and the proportions were off for her.  That's the down side to being a petite girl! (I'm not even at 5'2!) So she was kind enough to bestow it upon me!  I've been waiting for the right occasion to come along and this was it! The polka dot dress from Forever21 has a cute little peplum and also a mesh top which adds character to the dress.  It also has the sweetest peter pan collar and a keyhole back.  The shoes are Carlos by Carlos Santana and I got them for a steal at Buffalo Exchange in Philly a few years back.

Dark Vibes

Hi Everyone! I'm back!....I think. Since I went on hiatus, I've moved twice, got a new(er) position at Destination Maternity and still have been interviewing my butt off hoping that a new job will soon come along. I was really feeling my outfit the other week, so I had my roommate snap a couple of photos when I got home from work.  It's really a shame that it gets dark so early these days.  Don't get me wrong, I love  fall but I don't love how short the days become. The scarf was a gift from an old roommate.  Her boyfriend's mother had given it to her but she didn't want it.  I'm not exactly sure why  but you can never have enough scarves if you ask me! I've always enjoyed black on black on black looks.  The only problem I ever have is my blacks will never match, ever! #gothgirlproblems I got the shoes over the summer from Forever 21.
