Deck the Halls!

Happy Belated Holidays!

A few weeks ago it felt like I was searching endlessly for the perfect outfit for Christmas.  Any time I went out shopping I spent a lot of time in different stores trying on dresses and outfits that I just wasn't happy with.

I ended up scrolling through ModCloth with the idea in my head that I wanted to wear plaid for Christmas. A "Christmas Plaid" if you will.
In general I find the hype over ModCloth to be a little overrated and the prices (for me) to be a little above what I'm willing to spend on a casual dress that I want to wear several times.  I'm aware that you can adjust the price range of what you want to look at but somehow I never really wanted to take the leap.

Although when I came across this dress for under $60, I was smitten!

I took a few photos Christmas eve with my pettiecoat under the dress to give it a bit more volume. It's one that I made myself and isn't all that comfortable so I left it behind for christmas day.

The sparkly shoes I have are vintage and I came across them at the Punk Rock Flea Market that they have in Philadelphia twice a year. The girl selling them gave them to me for $3! Some times it pays off to have little feet! (I wear 5.5-6!)

On Christmas day we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate with my mom's side of the family.  We had a nice little group together for the celebration, like always.

My favourite gifts this year have to be this amazing Doctor Who puzzle featuring the 11th Doctor, Django on DVD and the keyboard/cover for my Surface tablet.

What did you get for the holidays?  Does your family have any fun traditions?
It's hard to believe that the new year is only three days away! 2014 just flew by! (Like most of the other years)

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year in advance!
